The Specialist “Skills for Life” Partner
NCC Skills provides high quality Skills for Life training to Adults in the workplace, contextualised within vocational awards. We work in partnership with Colleges and Consortia to support 19+ workplace delivery.
We are currently engaging with colleges to discuss how we can support their delivery to employers under the Single Adult Budget for 2011/2012.
Delivering Excellence in a Priority Area
We are currently in our 4th year of delivery, and currently provide subcontractor provision to 14 partner colleges.
Our unique delivery methodology and our commitment to quality resulted in the following achievements in 2010/2011:
- Awarded the Matrix standard
- Delivery to 4,400 learners
- 94% success / 94% Timely completions - across all contracts
- Measured by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding’ in a college partner inspection
Delivery Methodology and Partner Offering
- NCC Skills identifies the learners
- Provide a dual learning outcome; Numeracy Entry Level 3 plus a vocational award
- 8 Session delivery model provided on a 1-2-1 basis
- Delivery and assessment in the workplace
- Duration between 8-12 weeks, depending on individual needs
- All learners undertake training to move up a level from their initial assessment
